I ate at Pamplemousse two weeks ago and had a delightful time. The room is nothing special but it does feature photos of Rat Pack-era celebrities on the wall. Service was attentive and friendly. The complimentary crudite were a nice touch to start. The Fettucine a la Georges was excellent as was the confit and duck breast entree. For its price catergory, Pamplemousse is a keen value. Not as good as Andres or Fleur de Lys but a fine experience

We had dinner at Pamplemousse after our wedding in Las Vegas. All 8 of us agreed it was one of the best, if not the best, dining experience we have ever had. The crudite platter was incredible - so fresh and colourful. The french onion soup was to die for. The service was quirky and wonderful, the champagne wonderful. We couldn't have chosen a better venue for our special day and are so glad we looked off-strip. A wonderful experience.

Great service and wonderful dinner selection, from fish to duck. Great display of salad at the table.

C'est magnifique! From the crudites to the desserts, Pamplemousse (meaning the grapefruit) leaves anything but a sour taste in the mouth! The setting is intimate and romantic, each course is expertly prepared and rich in flavor. The service is the best around. All in all, this is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Seriously.

I love your restaurant. Having eaten there a few times, with many more to come, it’s the first place I recommend in Las Vegas.

For those who want to get out of the din and jingles of hotel’ss overcrowded, over promised self-important venues on the Strip, what a lush pleasure the Pamplemousse offers us all.

My last visit was one of the best meals ever with a filet that topped any I’ve had in recent memory. The staff’s professionalism and courtesy was just outstanding, which is now expected and always fulfilled.

In fact, I’m going to list you on my blog and newsletter, even though I’ not a revue site. I would think that all of us customers want to make sure you keep on doing what you’ve done so well for so long.

Best wishes,

I and my friend truly enjoyed our visit.  We plan to make your restaurant our special stop whenever we're in Las Vegas.  Keifer, our server, made us feel at home and explained the menu in detail ... such mouth-watering dishes.  Thank you for a very special evening.  See you next time.

Hi,

I, my wife and another couple ate in your restaurant this past Saturday night.  I very rarely email or write, if ever, anyone regarding their business.  I have traveled all over the country and Europe and have never had such a great experience dinning as I did at Pamplemousse.  The food was the best and the service, Keiffer, was outstanding.  He made the night, I have never experienced such an enthusiastic and friendly person, in any profession, as he was.

We had not been in Vegas for many years, I did not like the changes, too darn busy with traffic who's only equal is NY city, and that's not a good thing.  However, the experience I had at your restaurant is probably worth the trip back to Vegas.  I just thought you should know.

What a wonderful dining experience our family has had at Pamplemousse!!!!

My parents and I spent our savings on a trip to las vegas. Each night we went to a different restaurant. But the night we went to Pamplemousse made every other las vegas experience pale in comparison. Rather than staff that might take away from the food, your staff, especially our server, Michael, made our meal so much more enjoyable. The food was perfect in every way. Each taste was unique and perfect. The dessert, too, was amazing and wonderful.

Your restaurant saved our las vegas experience and turned it from a usual vacation into a trip to an elegant countryside affair. Thank you for the perfect experience.

...then, maybe then, I'll enjoy a better meal! It used to be that I would visit Las Vegas primarily for business and for events such as the gigantic SEMA show. Three years ago, however, a dear friend introduced me to Pamplemousse. Now, I cannot come to town without an evening in your magnificent restaurant, and I make sure to tell business associates that Pamplemousse must be a part of any Las Vegas trip.

John and Keefer were excellent hosts, and from crudites to post-prandial coffee, there was no expectation unfulfilled.  Bravo  for your brilliant gourmet talents and bravo for creating a most exceptional and delightful dining ambiance.

I have lived here over 25yrs. drove past at least 500 times over those  years.  I never realized Pamplemousse was a restaurant.
My daughter, the attorney, always checks zagat for their ratings.  June was their anniversary, and I had them pick the place for dinner.  She picked Pamplemousse.
We were most glad she did.
To our delight, this was the best dinning experience I can remember.  We went back with a friend from Canada and she too loved the experience.
I'm just sorry it took so long to find.  We sat at table 32?  It was really great.

We hope you keep it open for another 30 yrs.  Food, service, atmosphere, and pricing all get excellent ratings from my family.

 Thanks!

The staff, service, tastes, textures, aromas, & ambience made for one of the most enjoyable dining experiences my wife and I have ever had.

The food was presented and cooked to perfection.  The wine selection was outstanding.

For a restaurant of this quality I was amazed by the prices.  I've paid twice as much and not had the same quality or service.

The Pamplemousse will be our restaurant of destination on any future trips to Las Vegas!

We will definitely recommend the Pamplemousse to all our friends and family.

Our daughter got married and had her reception at the Pamplemousse on July 19, 2006.
Our dining experience could not have been anymore perfect!  John and Robert and Keefer are experienced wait staff who are present when you need them and unobtrusive when you don't.  All of my guests raved over the menu selection, the wines, and the most excellent service.
We had no complaints!! Personally, I can't wait for my next dining experience at the Pamplemousse.
Thank you so much for making our daughter's reception so perfect, I would not have changed anything.

Thank you John and Keefer for making our dining experience one our very best and most memorable.

Very thoughtful seating considering our two little children and thanks for your attention to them as well.

John, excellent wine recommendation. The fettuccine appetizer couldn't be eating without eliciting an audible ummm. The frog legs also very good, fortunately we like garlic.

The Rack of Lamb quite honestly the best ever.

Keefer you finished us off quite nicely with dessert that you were so kind to serve to us individually.

Just writing this e-mail makes me hunger for a return to Pamplemousse.

See you again,

Hello,

My husband myself and his boss really enjoyed ourselves at your restaurant.

I am glad I bought a book on restaurants there- After one week of eating in hotel restaurants- Bellagio included- I picked up my book and called you, luckily you had reservations open for three. It was a real treat- not only great food, but a very friendly wait staff too.

! I have a couple of questions for you if you don't mind  1- the waiter said he would tell us the origin of Pamplemousse- I know Bobbie Darin was somehow responsible for the name- but did he and Sandra Dee ever go to the restaurant together and  2- if it is not a family secret what is the recipe for Chicken Francoise?   Anyway keep up the good work and I hope to dine with you in the not  to distant future!

Warm Regards,

Connie Muse

I personally wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for the dinning experience we had on 5/8/06.
This was going to be my engagement weekend and I wanted to set the mood.

From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were treated like royalty.
We started out with a perfect cozy table followed by an appetizer of FETTUCCINI a la Georges.
Our main course was the HOBO steak for 2 cooked in rock salt and ended the meal with the sorbet sampler.
We can honestly say, from start to finish, that this was the best meal we have ever eaten.
Lastly the staff that served us was as good as the meal.
They preformed their jobs with skill and professionalism....bravo!!
We look forward to seeing you on our next visit to Las Vegas as Mr. and Mrs. Salitros......

she did say yes

Hello...I was the person who'd emailed a query some weeks ago re: Monday night dining during the NAB. Happily we did make our reservation and my husband and I dined at your restaurant this past Monday. A great meal? To borrow a phrase from that unnamed TV chef, let's kick it up a notch: I have eaten at many well known establishments but the meal I had at Pamplemousse truly defined perfection! From the gracious and attentive waiters (Robert was our lead waiter) to the gregarious Maitre D' John (I marvel at his memory in recitation of the menu), service personnel who were attentive albeit  unobtrusive, food preparation straight out of a glossy magazine and The Food......sigh....yes, the perfect dining experience. I thank you so much.  My one disappointment: no Bobby Darin music was playing (I know the history of the restaurant)--next time I would love to hear my favorite song, Beyond the Sea, as I dine!  And a question: is anyone ever successful at prying out of you a recipe? (this is my way of saying that I loved the tomato soup and would love to make it at home).

Thank you once again.

Best,

Laurie Squire

 Wedding Dinner!

Dear Pamplemousse Management and Staff

On September 9th we had our wedding in Las Vegas and we were taken back by the courtesy and kindness.
Our wedding was delayed for about an hour and a half. Our reservation was at 7:00p.m. and we arrived at the restaurant around 8:15p.m.
Even though we were late going to the restaurant, the staff greeted us very kindly and all the guests were happy to sit down and drink and talk about the wedding.

We were extremely happy when drinks and the fresh vegetables came out as everyone started to eat and enjoy themselves.
one of the dishes that everyone still talk about is the pear sorbet and how great it was.

The main course was excellent and the food that topped off the day was the beautifully made marble wedding cake. Not only was it beautiful, it
was delicious. We definitely will celebrate our 1  year anniversary at your restaurant and we would like to express our thanks to the management and
especially to John and Keifer and the other waiting staff for there extreme kindness and service.
Thank You very much!!!

Sincerely,

Hello:  I haven't been in your restaurant for three years, but was there many times while attending conventions.
Reggie was the manager and not only was the food ""decadent "" in both the taste and presentation, his attention to the guests made the experience so memorable that even after these years, when my son and his girlfriend informed me that they were going to Vegas I insisted that I would like to treat them to dinner at your charming restaurant.
They have reservations Tuesday evening July 27th at 6:00 PM.

I always wished that I was with someone that I loved while dining at Pamplemousse, your charming "home" inspires passion. I would only have the experience with business associates. My son on the other hand will be there with someone he loves.

There is not a thing that I would request beyond your outstanding understanding and service to the human spirit.
Just thought you might like to know how deeply I appreciate the memory I have of dining with you and let you know how my experiences are now moving forward through my son's adventure in Vegas.  His name is Michael Thomson and I so wish, not allowed by customs, he could bring a doggy bag home to Canada.

Thank you,

Ingrid Thomson

My husband and I wanted to thank Pierre-Jean and the rest of the staff for making our wedding reception on July 16th, 2005 a wild success. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the amazing food and charming servers. Some say it was the best meal they've had in their lives! I just wanted to write and let you know how impressed I was with your restaurant!  Everything was absolutely beautiful - the table, the decor, the food, etc.  And the food was so delicious!  It was something different and a good experience.  Our waiter was so nice and did a great job.  I heard no complaints from any of my friends or family members.  I couldn't get over how beautiful the table and the flowers were - my favorite color is pink!  Everyone thought that you guys had put down the pink table cloth and the pink flowers especially for me!!  I didn't tell them different!

Thank you so much for all of your help with the reservations.  And thank you for making mine and my husband's wedding dinner so wonderful!  And next time we go to Las Vegas (hopefully for a 5 year anniversary), we will definitely have dinner at

Pample-mousse!

Thanks Again,

Hello,

I just wanted to drop a quick note regarding our experience at Pamplemousse.
There were 7 of us for dinner last week and it was not only the very best meal we had in Las Vegas but the most enjoyable experience as well!
The service was outstanding and Robert and John our waiters were wonderful! I know that most of will return to Las Vegas and certainly return to Pamplemousse as well.
The crudités was outstanding, as were the desserts and everything in between, and what a great atmosphere as well.
Our complements to the Chef!
Thank you for an enjoyable and memorable evening!

Georges,

I have often been honored by your magnificent cuisine and your humble and noble service.

I have found a new friend that I would like to bring by.  Her name is Debbie and she's one of a kind.

Her question (and therefore mine) is "Can a pasta be made without eggs?"  She cannot eat them, but I assured her (without checking first) that you can probably solve the problem.

If you are willing to share a secret, please let me know.  We'll come when invited.

Best wishes,

Rich Gable

I just wanted to thank you for all your help with the wedding dinner plans.
Everything went great and the meals were terrific.
The kids had plenty to eat!  They enjoyed themselves too.
It was a great time and all my guests were impressed by the service and meals!
The kids started to get a little anxious towards the end of the night,
(expected by the younger ones) but the staff did a great job keeping them
happy!  We joked about not being able to come back because the kids were getting a little loud....
but having them on the patio was great!  I think that keep the noise down.  I hope no one complained!

I had a wonderful time and we will be back in May for a convention and hope that you will have us as guests again...
 (this time no kids!!!) haha
Thank you once again for everything,

Subject: Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!!

Dear Pamplemousse~

I just wanted to take a moment to express my greatest compliments to your fine restaurant and staff.
My husband and I dined there on Sunday, October 17th, 2004 on our wedding night.
We ran up to Vegas, like people do, to have a quiet little ceremony...just the two of us.  I found the Pamplemousse on the internet when I was planning our wedding getaway.  I wanted to find some place romantic and authentic, not at all like most of the glaringly cheesy restaurants one tends to find in the casinos.

I'm sure you must get rave (and not exaggerated) reviews all of the time because the atmosphere, staff and food...especially the food are of such high caliber.  But it's the little nuances that make the experience complete.  My husband and I felt almost like celebrities from the moment we walked in the door. Not the feeling of people being nice to us just because they knew it was our special day (even though they did know and secured a wonderful little table for us!) but more importantly it felt like they were genuinely interested in providing the most excellent service throughout the evening.

John, our maitre'd was absolutely fabulous, professional and charming! From the moment we met him we knew that we were in good hands and in for an exceptional culinary experience.
We had assistance from a tall (very attractive I might add ladies!!) French gentleman (I've forgotten his name) who kept the hot bread coming and our glasses filled and was wonderful too.
Our waiter, Chris was thoroughly knowledgeable, especially when reciting the entire menu from memory while we listened while our mouth's salivated in anticipation.  His service was excellent, friendly and very professional, without being uptight.
I have to admit that my favorite was Keifer (as in Sutherland)...I think he was the firecracker of the group, and what a fabulous group to be working with!!  He took a few pictures for us (which actually turned out better then our cheesy chapel photographs!!) and we had a few laughs, but, as seems to be the standard at Pamplemousse, he was never too uptight or too loose (never crossed the line in either direction)...always the professional.

Well that was just the staff!!  Let me acknowledge the ambiance and food. Imagine walking in out of a chilly night into a warm, cozy cabin with a beautiful fire burning in the fireplace.  That is what I would compare the ambiance too...albeit with no logs or fire!!  Dimmed lighting, but not so dim you can't see each other or the excellent gourmet delights. Pink walls filled with our favorite movie stars from the gilded age of Hollywood.  Candlelight and flowers.  It was splendid.  The food was out of this world.  I regret that I didn't ascertain the chef's name prior to this note, I have done you a great disservice for not doing so!  Our food was prepared to absolute perfection.  This, on a Sunday night, which is probably a "Friday" for the staff.

Now for the sticker shock for those more conservative readers.  We started with a couple of glasses of their house champagne (with Chambord, but I forgot the name of it) and the (complimentary!) crudités bowl (with sides of homemade black and green olives) and warm, fresh baked bread.  We nibbled on that, but after reading other comments, we tried not to ruin our appetites.  We shared a bowl of French Onion soup (perfection in a crock!).  Husband had an appetizer of scallops and I tried the escargot (both out of this world).  He selected the veal special, I chose the New York steak (I love it when a chef actually knows what a medium rare steak is!)  Again, running out of adjectives, both entrees were absolute perfection.  We had a couple more glasses of champagne/wine with dinner and regrettably had to skip dessert, because as I mentioned it was our wedding night and we had our own dessert planned for later.  The total tab for this meal?? How about $104 plus a well deserved and actually earned gratuity!!  We have easily spent two or three times this amount for some "big name" place and the without even a fraction of the hospitality, professionalism, excellence or ambiance.  I almost hesitate to let this secret "garden of Eden" out!!  We won't be waiting until our first anniversary to come back.  Although every occasion will probably feel like a special occasion at Pamplemousse, we intend to go back there to enjoy another blissful culinary experience very soon!!

Pierre-Jean~ Please give all your staff big fat holiday bonuses and a well deserved paid vacation (like a cruise to the Bahamas or something).  They have most definitely earned it!!

Our very best regards!!

Stacey and Dave Hudak

To the staff at Pamplemousse,

My wife & I celebrated our 5th Anniversary this past Friday evening at your restaurant.  Our dining experience was outstanding.  After numerous disappointments at overpriced, pretentious, “fine dining” restaurants on the Strip (ie: Venetian, Paris , Mirage, etc.), we were ready to search out a local, non-casino restaurant.  We are so grateful to have found the Pamplemousse.  The service was excellent.  The food was incredible.  The Rack of Lamb & Filet Mignon was amazing.  The prices were very reasonable.  The ambience was romantic and comfortable.  Oh, & how could I forget the Profiterolles au Chocolat!

Needless to say, we will refer your restaurant to all our friends & family the next time any of them are headed to Vegas.  We had a wonderful time.

 Thank you,

Chris & Nanett

Pierre-Jean,

Greetings from California - I am sorry we did not get to actually meet you after all your help, but we had a wonderful time at your lovely restaurant and the food was fabulous.
Chris, our waiter, was very professional, enjoyable, and knowledgeable.  Cute, too.

We were surprised to be almost the only party most of the evening, but loved it!  Saw many cars the following night, though, so we felt like it was our special night.

We had eaten at Olives (Bellagio) the night before - much too noisy, expensive, outrageous wine prices, food was fine, nothing special, service flat.  What a great change the following night!

Thanks again and pass our gratitude and compliments to you great staff.  We shall truly pass the word.

Pierre,

We just returned from our trip to Las Vegas....and an amazing dinner at your restaurant.
It will be by far our best memory of the trip and probably the top reason we return to Vegas in the future.
Absolutely everything was perfect for our Anniversary.  I could not have hoped for better.
John and our server, Chris, provided very personal service, without being overbearing.
After only a few minutes we felt like old friends in a place we've never been before.
My wife thoroughly enjoyed her evening....and the food was just amazing.
What was even more unbelievable was a very reasonable check.
I wanted to thank you for your great place and can't wait to return.
Please give our best to John and Chris and thank them again for us.

 To the staff of Pamplemousse,

My wife Julie and I wish to thank you for your extremely  professional manner and wonderful service you provided our small group of 20 at our recent wedding reception.  The planning was made easy with the help of John and Edith.  This was a special bonus for us as we were flying to Las Vegas from with friends and family and with so many details to decide it was so nice to have the dinner in such perfect hands.

I have been an event and travel planner and can not think of a place more perfect for wedding couples, or any romantic reason to eat at a real family style fine restaurant while in the usually plastic world of Las Vegas.

The menu that was verbally described in detail by the waiter that night was perfect and every dish was made to our satisfaction.  Compliments to the chef indeed!

One additional kudo:  the cake that you helped us select was magnificent. We were pleased that it was so good.  Many of the guests commented on that as well.

Words can hardly describe the incredible dining experience that we had this past Sunday evening at your fabulous restaurant!!

My girlfriend and I are involved in a long distance relationship. She lives in Malibu California and I am on the opposite coast in Connecticut. We both traveled to Las Vegas to be together and visit with my brother who lives there. I wanted to take her to a romantic dinner, just the two of us, on our last night in town, so I searched for a restaurant before I left, and found you on the Internet.

Something about the basket of hard boiled eggs, no written menu, and the cozy ambiance of a French country side Inn helped me to pick Pamplemousse.

My brother didn't know of you and suggested Aqua at Bellagio or Andre, but I was not interested in casino glitz, cathedral ceilings and stuffy wait staff. I stuck with my gut feeling and instinct, and made my reservation. It was the smartest thing I ever did. Our night was perfect and I mean every aspect of the meal!!

Chris was unbelievable, one of the best waiters ever I'm sure.
Our table was tucked into an alcove, with a red velvet love seat for two, both settings on one side of the table.
From the crudite (truly unique!!), cream of asparagus soup, the incredible escargot, to the Best Filet Mignon ever made, and the exquisite Duck with the cranberry Chambord sauce, it brought tears to our eyes, literally!!!
The wine was superb, as was the hand written wine list, and the desserts were so appealing we had TWO!!

All in all, it was an evening we will not forget and will always cherish the memory.

Thank you so much

 Todd and Debbie

Dear Sirs,

I previously sent you an e-mail in October 2002 thanking you for your incredible service and food at my friends Gretchen and Phil's wedding reception dinner.  I thought you might like to know that I recently received an e-mail from a woman in England who is planning her wedding in Vegas and saw my posting on your guest book.  She wanted to know what I thought of your restaurant and what my experience had been.  It was my pleasure to give you a great review and highly recommend your restaurant.  Even after over a year my memories of that night are still vivid and very happy, my mouth waters every time I think of your amazing food!  Should anyone ask for a recommendation please feel free to share my e-mail address, I would be happy to share my experience.  In a era of increasingly indistinguishable, and often overpriced food and service, your staff goes the extra mile to provide not only an unforgettable meal but also an unhurried and pleasant atmosphere in which to enjoy it.  My compliments to all of you!

Best Regards,

Sarah Cleary

Dear Pierre-Jean and the Staff of Pamplemousse:

My husband and I were married on August 9, 2003 and our small wedding party dined at your wonderful restaurant after our ceremony. It was the perfect choice! We were so pleased at the attentiveness of Reggie and the staff and the lovely room we were seated in -- even though the restaurant was busy, we felt like we were the only guests!

The food was divine, and I was thrilled with the wedding cake you specially ordered for us. The cake-cutting photo session orchestrated by Reggie was unexpected and especially thoughtful. As I mentioned to Pierre-Jean while planning the event, Tony and I visited Paris on our first trip together, and it was where we professed our love to one another. We dined at a restaurant very similar in atmosphere and menu to Pamplemousse, so that made it even extra special to us.

Finally, thank you so much for taking the time to prepare a customized menu for our party that would work within our budget. It is the personal attention to details that will ensure that your restaurant will still be there years and years from now when we return to Vegas to renew our vows!

Thank you again, and God Bless,

Thats so cool that ure resturant is named that, im taking french 1a in highschool, and my favorite french word is pamplemousse, if im ever in las vegas ill be sure to eat there! GO GRAPEFRUIT! and i sort of have a question... what inspired you to name your resturant that?

 ANSWER

Thank you Wade for your support!
Choosing Pamplemousse as your favorite french word prooves you have good taste!   As good as Late singer Bobby Darin's, Georges La Forge good friend

To answer your question
Bobby thought Pamplemousse was the most beautiful word in the French language (it reminded him of being Pampered with chocolate mousse and Champagne). His dream was to open a French restaurant with Georges, but it would have to be named Pamplemousse.

Though Bobby Darin's untimely death in 1973 precluded the partnership, Georges kept the name in tribute and memory of his friend.
 (see Georges at
  http://www.pamplemousserestaurant.com/page10georges.htm

Standing before the modest little tract home that was to be the site of a "dream come true” Georges' visionary creativity began to swirl. From beneath his talented hands and natural flair for design, like a phoenix rising from the ash, emerged the intimate rendez-vous spot for friend and lovers alike.

We absolutely enjoyed dinner last Friday evening. The  ambiance was wonderful - it felt like we had been transported to a little French country inn.

The food was delicious. I had the escargot (with lots of wonderful fresh rolls to mop up the delicious garlic sauce), the lamb entree, and profiteroles for dessert. My husband's client was so pleased as well. The crudités basket and fresh hard-boiled eggs are such a wonderful tradition. So unique and very French!

We were able to make our play at the Mandalay Bay without any trouble ... it capped off a wonderful evening for us ...
Thanks so much for the helpful directions.

 Gentlemen,

My husband and I had the great great pleasure of dining at your restaurant on Sunday October 13th at a wedding dinner for our friends Phillipe and Gretchen Delannoy.  I have to say, without question, that it was the best meal I have ever had.  From the crudités all the way through to our main course, and everything in between, the entire dining experience was fantastic.

Your waitstaff was wonderful, attentive without being intrusive, and everything was explained to us in great detail.
I enjoyed l'escargot (first time I had ever tried them) and my non-seafood eating husband greatly enjoyed the combination appetizer of shrimp, scallops, and fettuccine a la Georges.

The restaurant itself is lovely.  The room was cozy and intimate (and we did take over an entire side of the restaurant).
The wines we had were very nice.  All in all, it was a wonderful experience to celebrate the wedding of our dear friends, and I thank you very much for that.

Warmest Regards,

Debbie Plant

I wanted to take a minute to thank you and your staff for a very memorable and wonderful dining experience.
Planning a wedding weekend from thousands of miles away is not an easy task but you helped to make it one.

We were married on August 18, 2002 at the MGM Grand and then had our celebratory dinner afterwards at Pamplemousse.

Reggie greeted us immediately as we walked through the door and he took care of us during our entire visit.

He recommended two wonderful wines and paced everything so perfectly that the guests were never wondering where the next course was or trying to hurry up and finish the one they were on before another was brought out.
The other staff was just as attentive to make sure our drinks were filled, bread plates never empty, etc.

After an amazing meal, Reggie brought out a beautiful wedding cake and set the stage for some memorable pictures of Mike and I cutting the cake, which I didn’t think we would have in our photo album – what a nice surprise!
The cake was just as delicious and everyone raved on the way back to the MGM about the romantic atmosphere, incredible service and amazing food.

Thank you for making one of the biggest days in our lives so perfect!
We will definitely recommend Pamplemousse to others and will return the next time we are in Las Vegas.

Thanks to George for still going strong and  such a wonderful place to dine!!!!!
We hope to see you soon.

 All the best......Lenny Talarico

Thank you for the wonderful evening we had at Pamplemousse, The Filet mignon with green pepper corn sauce was to die for. Tender as butter and cooked to perfection. I am usually very picky about my steaks!!! My wife had the Fresh Escolar sauteed with saffron sauce: what a delight!!!The whole evening was wonderful and timing was perfect!! The atmosphere was romantic and quiet with Edith Piaf singing in the background... The appetizers were fabulous (escargot traditional and soft shell crab) deserts were mouthwatering.  We are still talking about the whole experience and we will be back soon!!!
Thank you for a wonderful job!

I just wanted to let you know what a fabulous time we had thanks to John and Rich who went the extra distance to make a special occasion one we'll remember always as one of the best times we ever had.  No request was beyond their expertise and was performed graciously and with professionalism.  It's people like you who make Pamplemousse a must destination for tourists and locals alike.  My best to all the staff  and my compliments on a job very well done.

With great respect and sincerity,

Dear John and staff,

Thank you so much for a wonderful dining experience. Because of our dietary restrictions it is sometimes difficult for us to get food that we can eat that is tasty and not just a normal entree with the sauce held. We have never had such attention to our dietary needs in such a gracious manner. Our food was prepared with such attention to detail that we were able to eat and enjoy everything that was brought to us and not worry about the ingredients. We felt like royalty. The service was impeccable and the decor was lovely. A wonderful retreat away from the Strip-a truly memorable experience.

Sincerely,

Carole and Peter Haney

Dear Pierre-Jean,

Thanks so much for getting back to us!  I was on the Vegas thread of the Wedding Channel message board today and read this from Laila & Kurt who held their reception at your restaurant on May 25, 2002
“The reception at Pamplemousse was fabulous, i cannot say enough about how wonderful the food and service was. They were a pleasure to work with and the food was to die for, including the cake...”
Another glowing review!  I appreciate your willingness to help us plan our special night!  Thank you!

I was just reading the message boards on weddingchannel.com and came across this today.
I thought i would forward it to you since it was such a nice post:

Pamplemousse on the other hand was the best part of the whole day. The food was the best food I have had in a long time. Pierre-Jean worked with me for months in advance creating a custom menu and even had their baker make a custom wedding cake. The cake was not only beautiful but the best cake I have EVER had. John, the Maitre-D, was very helpful and made the experience enjoyable. They even let an Elvis impersonator, Jesse Garon, into the restaurant to sing and dance. John told him that he could make as much noise as he wanted, and he did! Elvis was a surprise to almost all the guests and they had a blast with him.

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.

Pierre-Jean,

Thought you might enjoy the response I received from another bride whose dinner you hosted this month. She promised to let me know how things went upon her return from Las Vegas, below is her reply. Sounds like your family and staff needs to give yourselves a huge pat on the back . .  keeping brides happy is never an easy task!

No problem, Tiffany! You are not bugging me at all. I had a wonderful experience with Pamplemousse. All of my guests were quite impressed from what they told me. The food and attention was fantastic. We had 32 guests and took up the entire main dining room. They also had another room for 26 people or less. It's very intimate, darkly lit. I put votives with place cards on the tables and added the perfect ambience. Even with 32 people, we were allowed four main dish choices. We had a choice of salmon, duck, beef tournedos and chicken. Guests could also choose between 3 app choices as well.

Everyone said the food was to die for. I thought so too, I had the duck and loved it. I had a dessert served instead of cake called Tartufo of Pamplemousse. OMG! Heaven! It was liquor ice cream covered in white and brown chocolate with strawberries and a touch of whip cream with a raspberry sauce. Definitely my favorite. The service was awesome too. We had a maitre 'd (sp?) named Reggie who took care of everything. We let guests order whatever drink they wanted and still our bar bill never hit our 500 limit.
We had dinner at $40 pp and I would say they could have charged $60.

Any specific questions please let me know! I would definitely recommend
them!

Cinde

 Dear John & Reggie,

My wife and I visited Las Vegas on Nov. 11th to celebrate our 20th  wedding anniversary in advance. Our friends had highly recommended  Pamplemousse for dinner. We arrived a little too early that day with our son, but John, you graciously let us in. We had a wonderful dinner and your service was courteous and exemplary.  The house special grain fed duckling and the milk fed veal were excellent. My wife said she enjoyed all her foods from appetizer to the dessert. Thank you for making our trip to  Vegas very special. We will surely tell all our friends about your wonderful  restaurant.

                                      Wishing you continual success,

Mr. & Mrs. KH Khor & YJ.

I would like to thank you so much for the wonderful service and food.  You made our wedding reception the talk of the evening.  Everyone keeps mentioning how  fantastic the Mushroom Soup was and how they've never tasted anything like it  before.  The entire evening at your restaurant was wonderful.  To the point that I've been asked to get some business cards from you.  We have several friends who frequent Las Vegas and want a card so they know where to go as well as a friend who works in a travel agency and wants to add your card to her Las Vegas packet.

 Thanks,

Dear Pierre-Jean,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me have such a wonderful experience at Pamplemousse.
You have been absolutely wonderful in your correspondence, and helping me with the planning of the reception.
It was everything you said it would be. The food was outstanding, and your recommendation of the dessert Tartufo of Pamplemousse was excellent!
All of our guests raved about the food, the drink, and the special ambience that Pamplemousse has.
Reggie was a wonderful host and gracious caretaker of our event. Thank you, Reggie!

I'm active on a lot of wedding internet bulletin boards, and wanted you to know that I have recommended Pamplemousse countless times and will continue to do so!
My reception was everything I had dreamed, thanks to you and the Pamplemousse staff.
Chris and I cannot wait to come back for our first anniversary (or sooner!)

 Best wishes and warm thanks,

 Dear John,
On Saturday 10/6/01, my wife and I enjoyed dinner at your restaurant.  Our  reservation was under the name Bill O'Keefe.   The food was excellent, and  you and your associates were  knowledgeable, gracious,  professional, and  enthusiastic in explaining menu selections and appropriate wines.

The four of us had a wonderful time, and I thank you for the complimentary  dessert in honor of my wife and my 10 year wedding anniversary.

 I wish you great success.
 Thanks again.

Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know that we had a lovely evening on August 24th, for my daughter’s wedding.  The food was wonderful and the service impeccable.  We all especially enjoyed the pasta dish with the scallop and shrimp (appetizer in the Epicurean Menu).  It was wonderful!!

 Again, thanks very much.

Dear John & Reggie,

We dined with you last March under Robert McManus' recommendation.  What a pleasant suprise!
My huband and I have 35 years of restaurant exp. and have never enjoyed a dining establishment as much as the Pamplemousse!!!
From the food to the service we have never been so pampered.

Thank you all so much.  Rob sends his regards; we dined with him this evening.  Most of the evenings conversation was centered around the Pamplemousse and telling all of our uninitiated friends what they are missing until they reach your door.

With true longing we look forward to seeing you the 6th of Sept. 2001.
 Good health to all,
